This post actually has nothing to do with car posters, but the ethos of finding an obscure poster is always satisfying to me.
A good friend of my family enlisted my help to specifically find Russian language movie posters directed by her Grandfather in the former Soviet Union. He was active in the 1950s-1970s and while she had managed to find a couple of posters, they weren't in the Russian language
It took me a little while and some sleuthing and research, but through one of my contacts I managed to track down two that were available and purchased them for her. They were in quite good condition for their age so all they needed was a little wash and linen-backing which was performed at Fourth Cone Restoration.
Our friend just received them and I am so happy she is thrilled with them. Like Hannibal on The A-Team used to say, "I love it when a plan comes together."
